Ladder leagues come in two flavors depending on your venue – rotating partner and same partner – but they work the same way: win and you move up, lose and you slide down the ladder. In a rotating partner ladder league, you play three games a night with 3 different people, 3 dynamics, 3 chances to show out! In the same partner ladder league, you and your partner climb together. Every week is another chance to build your chemistry and prove what you’ve got. It’s the perfect mix of friendly vibes and competitive fire—designed to level up your game and grow the Honcho crew along the way.
Our Rotating Partner Ladder League is for players who want to grow their game from the inside out. Every league night, you'll play three games, each one with a different partner. Same night, three different dynamics, three chances to show out! The top 2 players in your group move up the ladder and the bottom 2 players move down the ladder.
Our Same Partner Ladder League is for duos who want to put their partnership to the test. You and your partner, week after week, climbing (or clawing your way back up) the ladder together. Because the ladder naturally groups similarly skilled teams together, you'll find yourself playing the teams that are genuinely your most competitive match.

Each week, you'll get a prompt to RSVP for league night - let us know you're in and we'll handle the rest. Once RSVPs are confirmed, the league software will send you your game time blocks (~1 hour of play each night), opponent or partner assignments, and everything else you need to show up ready to play.
When you register, you'll select your skill level to set your starting spot on the ladder. From there, weekly matchups are based on performance and attendance, so your competition gets more dialed-in as the season goes.
Score reporting happens right in the same league software where you register — no extra apps, no extra steps. Log in, enter your scores, check your schedule, and see your court assignments all in one place.

Your schedule is built around your RSVP. Four days before your league night, you’ll get an email and text asking if you’re in for the week — confirm and you’re on the schedule. Three days before, confirmed players receive their exact start time, court assignments, and partner matchups for the night. You can also find the upcoming week’s schedule in your weekly email or anytime in your league software account. You can access your player login anytime from the main menu at the top of our website.
At the start of the season, your self-selected skill level sets your starting spot on the ladder. Each week, you’re matched with the players closest to you on the ladder from everyone who RSVP’d, so your matchups are always as competitive as possible!
Pricing varies by city and venue — here’s what’s included when you register for a Honcho Ladder League: pre-booked courts, full season scheduling and admin handled by Honcho HQ, access to our league software for all season management, a Honcho season t-shirt, access to our end-of-season social event, and possible surprise pop up perks throughout the season! Players are required to bring their own paddles and balls. It’s advisable to check with your specific league for any additional equipment requirements.
In the event of bad weather, matches scheduled at outdoor venues will be rescheduled leveraging our buffer weeks at the end of the season. Participants will be notified of any changes via email and through our league software.
Same-Partner Doubles and Same-Partner Ladder Leagues are open to players 12 and up — the more the merrier! Rotating Partner Ladder Leagues are 18 and up, designed as a social adult league experience for players who love meeting new people and mixing up their game each week.
Players self-assess their skill levels during registration. We’ll use this initial self assessment to create the first set of ladder league match ups. From there, player performance will dictate if they move up or down the ladder throughout the 8-week season.
You can review your match schedules and submit match results directly through the SWISH app. Please be sure to have this downloaded in advance of the season kicking off!
