Ballers (Philly) is Honcho’s Philadelphia, PA venue partner for indoor pickleball league play. Players get scheduled weekly court time, organized matchups, and a clear season format without having to coordinate games from scratch.
No worries — you’ve got options. Depending on your league format, you can either RSVP no ahead of time, or send a sub to play in your place. Some teams also keep backup players on their roster just in case.
You’ll be scheduled for 3 games within a 1-hour time block, at minimum — sometimes a longer time block — depending on your weekly group size! And keep an eye out for pop-up Open Play Courts throughout the season, your chance to snag extra games and meet even more players.
Depends on the format! If you want to play with the same partner every week, look for a league with a Same-Partner format. Otherwise, our Rotating Partner Ladder League is a ‘join solo’ format — you’ll join on your own and get paired with a variety of players as you move up and down the ladder, rotating partners each game throughout your 3 games that night.
It’s a one-time fee for your entire season — no weekly charges, no surprises. It covers your court costs, a fully managed season, a free Honcho tee (~$70 value), an end-of-season event, and the chance to score pop-up giveaways and surprises throughout the season.

Your schedule is built around your RSVP. Four days before your league night, you’ll get an email and text asking if you’re in for the week — confirm and you’re on the schedule. Three days before, confirmed players receive their exact start time, court assignments, and partner matchups for the night. You can also find the upcoming week’s schedule in your weekly email or anytime in your league software account. You can access your player login anytime from the main menu at the top of our website.
At the start of the season, your self-selected skill level sets your starting spot on the ladder. From there, your weekly results do the talking — win and you move up the ladder, lose and you slide back down. Each week, you’re matched with the players closest to you on the ladder from everyone who RSVP’d, so your matchups are always as competitive as possible!
Pricing varies by city and venue — here’s what’s included when you register for a Honcho Ladder League: pre-booked courts, full season scheduling and admin handled by Honcho HQ, access to our league software for all season management, a Honcho season t-shirt, access to our end-of-season social event, and possible surprise pop up perks throughout the season! Just show up and play — we’ve got everything else handled.

It will depend on what’s offered at your venue! Start your registration to see what’s available. If Same-Partner Doubles or Same-Partner Ladder League is offered, you and your partner can join and compete together every week. If your venue has a Rotating Partner Ladder League, that one’s built for solo players — you’ll play with a different partner in each of your 3 weekly games, which is a great way to try out different dynamics and meet more people in your community!
